Lexcel

Lexcel is an accreditation indicating quality in relation to legal practice management standards. It was introduced by the Law Society of England and Wales and involves rigorous annual assessment of our policies and procedures. The required management standard has evolved and become more rigorous over time and we are proud that we meet our annual assessment with confidence that we are aligned with the Lexcel standard.

How does Lexcel benefit our clients?

There are several benefits in Lexcel to us as a business, but for the client one of the cornerstone areas of our practice which is scruitinised is client care and file and case management so that you have clarity on fees, our services and you have confidence that if you are dissatisfied in some way, we have a proper internal complaints procedure to address your concerns.


Conveyancing Quality

CQS is the Law Society’s Conveyancing Quality System (CQS). CQS provides a recognised quality standard for law practices which provide residential conveyancing among their services. Membership of CQS establishes a level of credibility for us stakeholders such as regulators, professional indemnity insurance providers, lenders and of course, our clients. Membership gives us access to most of the major lender panels.

How does being CQS accredited benefit the client?

By choosing us to assist you in buying or selling a home you are making an informed choice. We have demonstrated that we follow best practice, meet the highest standards of technical expertise and client service and are able to satisfy regulators, lenders and insurers.

Membership of lender panels helps to make the conveyancing process seamless.


Resolution

Resolution is an organisation run by family lawyers for family lawyers. It provides a bi-monthly magazine, training and forum groups. Membership of Resolution is personal to the lawyer.

How does Resolution membership assist our clients?

Both Joanna Illingworth and Sophie Sherlock are Resolution members so you can be sure that you are receiving advice from specialists who are up to date on the law and procedure.


Resolution Collaborative Family Lawyer

A collaborative lawyer accredited by Resolution has received specialist training to advise clients and achieve solutions on family breakdown in a conciliatory way. Joanna Illingworth is a fully trained collaborative lawyer accredited by Resolution.

How can a training collaborative lawyer benefit our clients?

Collaborative law is a specialist service where our accredited lawyer, Joanna Illingworth, can advise a client who would like to follow the collaborative route to resolving divorce and ancillary matters, where the other party will also be advised by an accredited collaborative lawyer. This provides a realistic prospect of a conciliatory resolution and avoiding the uncertain outcome of Court. It is recognised that collaborative solutions are also cost effective for the clients.
