Gardner Croft is pleased to announce some major changes at Gardner Croft which took effect on 1st May 2017.

Peer Le Fleming, who has been the senior partner of the firm for the last eleven years retired as a partner on 30th April. At the same time, he also stood down as the head of the Private Client Department. Peer will continue to work with Gardner Croft as a consultant solicitor in the Private client Department providing legal services and specialist advice to the firm’s clients. Peer has practised for his whole career as a solicitor with Gardner Croft, and we are delighted that we will be able to continue to call upon his experience and expertise in the future.

Emma Baker joined us from another Kent firm as a partner and head of the Private Client Department with effect from 1st May. Emma has many years experience as a solicitor dealing with probate and estate administration, wills and estate planning, advance decisions, elderly and vulnerable client issues, powers of attorney (LPAs, enduring and general), Court of Protection work, deeds of variation, declarations of trust, trusts and tax treatment of trusts. Emma will strengthen our ability to provide these services to our clients.

We’re delighted to announce Joanna Illingworth also joined the partnership at the beginning of May. Joanna started with Gardner Croft as an assistant solicitor in our Family Law Department in January 2010, and was promoted to head of the department in February 2015. Joanna deals with a wide range of family issues, including separation and divorce and the financial matters arising from this as well as arrangements for children. She is also a trained Collaborative Lawyer.

We are sure that these new appointments and the continuation of Peer with the firm in a new role will strengthen the leadership of the business and the quality of the services we provide to our clients.
