Litigation Solicitor or Legal Executive

Contract: Full time
Salary: Dependent on experience

We are an established and respected High Street solicitors practice in Canterbury which puts client service at the core of its business.

We are looking to recruit an experienced Solicitor or Legal Executive to join our Litigation Department.

You must have a strong background in landlord and tenant, employment, property related and general civil litigation.  The post would suit a candidate with 3-5 years PQE or equivalent, but all applicants with appropriate experience will be considered.

Candidates should be energetic, organised and able to foster and maintain good relationships with clients and agents.

You need to be a team player but also a self-starter and able to work on your own under pressure. You must have the ability to get the job done whilst keeping client relationships to a high standard and being a good ambassador for the firm.  An interest in marketing Litigation to clients and referrers is essential.

Conveyancing Legal Secretary

Contract: Full time
Salary: Salary based on experience.

Gardner Croft are an established and respected High Street solicitors’ practice in Canterbury which puts client service at the core of its business.
We are looking to recruit a Conveyancing Legal Secretary with good written and spoken communication skills and a high level of computer literacy.
This is a permanent, full time position at our Canterbury office.
Suitable candidates will have experience in:

  • Providing a high level of administrative support in a busy office
  • Carrying out duties in a professional and timely manner
  • Developing and maintaining good client relationships
  • Building strong working relationships with colleagues and external stakeholders
  • Answering telephone calls
  • Audio transcription and copy typing
  • Dealing with enquiries from clients and other third parties via email, letter or fax
  • Preparing letters and legal documents
  • Drafting straight forward Contracts Transfers and other documents under supervision
  • Filing and general administrative work
  • Managing Outlook diaries
  • Adhering to and promoting the firm’s equality and diversity policy.

The position will include client contact.
The successful candidate will have energy and a can-do attitude as well as being able to work as part of a team.
Salary based on experience.
Previous experience within a legal conveyancing department would be preferred by is not essential.

Part-Time Conveyancing Legal Secretary

Contract: Part-Time

Gardner Croft are an established and respected High Street solicitors’ practice in Canterbury which puts client service at the core of its business.
We are looking to recruit a Conveyancing Legal Secretary with good written and spoken communication skills and a high level of computer literacy.
This is a permanent, part time position (working 3 days a week, ideally Monday – Wednesday) at our Canterbury office.
Suitable candidates will have experience in:
