Frances drafts wills for clients with a range of different aims and requirements and acts for individuals in relation to lasting powers of attorney and enduring powers of attorney. Frances also deals with a broad range of probate matters and regularly assists clients with deputyship applications to the Court of Protection.

In addition to decisions about who should benefit from your estate, there are numerous reasons why having a will is important and Frances often assists clients who wish to:

  • Protect unmarried partners
  • Appoint guardians for their children
  • Provide for children after remarriage, and
  • Protect loved ones in marriage and divorce.

Frances also advises on the management of property and financial affairs for individuals who, for reasons of ill health or infirmity, are unable, or no longer want to deal with their own affairs on a day-to-day basis, are seeking peace of mind that their affairs will be handled efficiently and professionally.

Frances qualified as a lawyer in 2000 and joined the private client team at Gardner Croft in 2019, continuing in her role when Gardner Croft merged with Boys & Maughan in May 2023.

Away from the office, Frances runs whenever she has the time and has so far completed three marathons.
