Following a lengthy career in conveyancing at secretarial level since the late 1980s, I qualified in 2013 as a Licensed Conveyancer.
My area is residential conveyancing, including freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, shared ownership sales and purchases, transfers of equity, remortgages, equity release, newbuild purchases (including Help to Buy) and possessory title (adverse possession) applications.
Buying and selling property is a very stressful time for clients and from my experience much of the anxiety is caused through poor communication. I pride myself on being a good communicator and straight talker, so that clients understand the process and are kept up to date at every opportunity. I always try to accommodate my client's requirements and am happy to make a home visit where appropriate.
I have a good reputation in Canterbury with many local estate agents and with agents in some surrounding areas.
Out of work, my main interest is looking after my rescued dogs. I have been adopting/rescuing adult mastiffs for many years and have involved myself with many dog welfare and rescue charities over time. I also enjoy gardening, movies, progressive rock music and a good book.
