Frequently Asked Questions

Can I get legal aid?

As of April 2013, legal aid is no longer available in respect of family and matrimonial work, save in instances of domestic violence. However, mere allegations of domestic violence are not enough to entitle a person to legal aid funding and the evidential burden can be quite high. Therefore, if you are a victim of domestic violence and wish to discuss your options, we would urge you to come and talk with us so we can advise and assist you appropriately. Currently, we do not undertake any legal aid work, however, if you think that you may be eligible for such funding, it would be best to discuss this with your Solicitor who can advise you accordingly.
